Should I Work on My Running Technique?
Should I work on my running technique? Most runners do not have good running technique, although not everyone pays the same price for running with bad technique. I ran injury-free with terrible technique for decades. Eventually, the accumulated stress on my body resulted in a lot of injuries.

I'm working on my running technique, so why are my calves sore?
About a decade ago, when barefoot and minimalist running were big topics in the running community, the most common advice for improving your technique was to shorten your stride and land on your forefoot. While it is true that people with good running technique will usually have an apparently shorter stride and will usually land on their forefoot, it is not true that simply adjusting your stride length and landing on your forefoot will result in better running technique.

Running Shoe Recommendations
People often ask me about which running shoes I recommend. People are often disappointed when I tell them that I recommend fixing their technique so they don’t have to worry about running shoes.

Why Do My Knees Hurt When I Run?
“Why do my knees hurt when I run?” is a question I regularly hear when talking to runners having problems with their training. Another variation is, “Why do my shins hurt when I run?” Sometimes it’s, “Why do my ankles hurt when I run?” If the individual I’m talking to, is a healthy, normally proportioned person with no underlying medical or physical conditions, then usually the answer is that they are over-striding.

POSE RUNNING AND SCIENCE
Pose running technique has a very specific standard derived from an underlying movement theory. To the best of my knowledge, Pose is the only running technique that has a standard or, for that matter, is based on a specific theory of movement. All other running techniques I’m familiar with are based on disjointed rules of thumb with no unifying concept.
